Dr. Val-Mejias Joins Essential Health & Wellness Group

Essential Health & Wellness group of Derby, KS is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Jesus Val-Mejias, MD, FACC as cardiologist.
“We are extremely excited for Dr. Val to join our team,” Amanda Helms, APRN, practice manager of Essential Health said. “Our primary goal has always been to offer the best cardiology services to those in the Greater Wichita area; with Dr. Val’s expertise in cardiology and electrophysiology we believe we can provide a deeper level of service and care to our patients.”
Board certified in internal medicine and cardiology, Dr. Val specializes in cardiac electrophysiology - the electrical nature of the heart.
Dr. Val dedicates his time to managing heart rhythm frequency with pacemakers and defibrillators to improve the lives of patients suffering from cardiovascular failures. He has published numerous scholarly articles on the subjects of arrhythmias and electrophysiology.
He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology.
Born in Santiago, Chile, Dr. Val has practiced in Kansas for the majority of his professional career.
Dr. Val will continue his heart failure and outreach clinics throughout South-Central Kansas.
